My candidate doesn’t care about my Faith.  He – or she – doesn’t care what race I am, nor my sexual orientation.  My candidate believes that freedom is paramount and would never consider infringing on my rights.  My candidate supports “lost causes”, not because they’re lost but because they’re Just.  My candidate earns their paycheck by performing the duties of their office, not by taking kickbacks for screwing me.  My candidate believes in the sort of Freedom that our Founding Fathers were looking for (and briefly found).  My candidate looks for solutions, not scapegoats.  My candidate does not adhere to party lines – rather, my candidate fights for his/her constituents, regardless of how much they may disagree.  After all, my candidate is a public servant, working for his or her public.

My candidate may cheat on their spouse but as long as they’re doing their job it’s none of my business.  My candidate may do drugs or break the law, but my candidate will always admit when he/she is wrong and will accept responsibility for their actions with grace and maturity (I was going to find a link for this, but you know – I can’t find any candidates that accept their mistakes with anything resembling “grace” or “maturity”).  My candidate doesn’t conduct back-room deals.  My candidate is honest and forthright.  My candidate does not indulge in muck-slinging, however my candidate will always point out the failures of his/her contemporaries while acknowledging and addressing his or her own mistakes.  My candidate attempts to resolve problems for their constituents, rather than allowing injustice to perpetuate because it’s “easier”.

My candidate doesn’t care what I do, as long as I’m not preventing my fellow Americans from being Free.  My candidate supports punishing a criminal, but not incriminalizing non-criminal acts.  My candidate speaks clearly and from the heart and is not a puppet for anyone but their constituents.  My candidate believes in informing his or her constituents about the facts of a given situation and allows them to make their own – informed – decision.

Who’s your candidate?
